Compassion – “เห็นใจกันบ้างไม่ดีเหรอ”

Compassion is the first play that I wrote myself. I’ve written poems and songs before and even some stand up comedy, short stories as well, but never an entire play. This is my first go at it. 

I started writing it last year and then left it lying for around 6 months. After Utopian Malady I talked to Nophand Boonyai, the director, and I realized “The only way to write a play is to write play” – at that time I was reading literature on how to write and tried to get inspiration from somewhere.

Around a month later Compassion was finished (although it is still a work in progress and things get cut out and added during the rehearsals). We have started rehearsals and I am very happy with the results so far.

I have a great team and I am grateful to all people involved to make this possible.
